Klippan launches "Eco Wool"

For Fall 2008, Swedish Textile manufacturer Klippan Yllefabrik has introduced "Eco Wool", a new collection of blankets and throws that have been produced with care for the environment and our health in mind. The materials and manufacturing processes used to make Eco Wool products are certified by Okeo-Tex, an international organization aimed at minimize the environmental impacts of textile manufacturing, and ensuring products are free heavy metals, pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Klippan's manufacturing operations are also ISO14000 certified ensuring that the blankets and throws are environmentally responsible products from source material to production.
The first of the Eco Wool products is the "Nymphaea" blanket designed by Sophia Thurfjell. The new "Twist" and "Scott" wool throws are also produced using this material.
Most importantly, all of the Klippan children's blankets are now manufactured with Eco Wool.

Stelton Visby Café Set
The Visby porcelain set brings a bit of Scandinavian café style into the home. With Visby, Danish designer Kim Buk has created an unusual form language that is both striking and functional. The saucers and plates feature small "peaks" on their surfaces that match up with the recesses in the base of the bowls and cups to help hold them in place. The Visby series is made of a soft white coloured porcelain and consists of seven pieces: cup, espresso cup, sauced, plate, sugar/creamer, yoghurt bowl and jug.

For Spring 2008, Stelton has introduced the ingenious "Take Away tray". The egonomically designed handle is perfectly balanced allowing the tray to be easily carried from the kitchen out to the pool deck. When the tray is placed down the handle stows neatly into the edge of the tray. The non-slip rubber surface of the tray helps to prevent objects from moving around in transit, and it can be simply removed for cleaning. The cost for a Take Away tray is 115.00 CAD/USD, and will be available by mid-April. Advance orders are now being accepted.
